Augmented Reality Bikini

by Thomas K. Carpenter in augmented reality2 Comments

In this video an AR bikini is pasted over the model showcasing a manually selected marker.  The video isn’t doesn’t show much new, but I’m curious about the software kit shown.  It looks like user-friendly AR software in development since the title is called BubbleGum Tattoo v0.1.  If you recognize the software, please comment, or send me an email.  I’d be interested to learn more about it.

  • After some web sleuthing, I can tell you the guy in the video is probably named Nathan Funk. See this post (http://www.archivum.info/comp.graphics.packages.3dstudio/2006-12/msg00011.html), where he looked for advice on how he can use this technology. He posted the same question on several other forums as well.
He may or may not be the guy behind http://www.njfunk.com/research (he doesn’t look like the guy on that site).
Anyhow, I guess this program is not public domain yet.

  • Nice sleuthing.

I got an email from him with a link for his trial software. Going to try it out.
