In this post, I showed you a neat application of twitter and augmented reality from Pek PongpaetSquidder has upped the ante by adding facial reckognition to his version of “twitter + augmented reality.”

Once again, the combination of technologies has created something new and interesting.  I’d like to see if they could take the pictures from social network sites like Facebook, and do the same thing.  That way you wouldn’t have to populate your program with the information, it would only have to check versus your friends which would limit the size of the database required for your iPhone.

  • Thomas, it’s strange. Neither this item, nor the previous one about Pek’s twitter AR appear in your rss feed. Is that intentional?

  • Not intentional. Not sure why they didn’t show up in the RSS feed, though I see that on some other sites that I view regularly. Maybe its a wordpress bug.
