Not all applications of Augmented Reality immediately jump out as revolutionary, but the revolution will happen with a million tiny papervision cuts. Pek Pongpaet shows us on his blog how he converted his tweets to AR text bubbles.
It would be interesting to walk up to someone and see their tweets show up as text bubbles above their heads. You’d immediately know what was on their mind and the tweets could be a conversation starter. Its a nice synergy of new technologies. I think as all the various pieces become more modular and capable of being connected to each other, then innovators like Pek will bring out interesting ways to use it.
