While I’m excited to see the new Star Trek movie this weekend. I’m not as excited to see another AR marker marketing promotion.
At Experience the Enterprise you can play with your very own Enterprise including some special effects like photons and warp drive. I think this will appeal to hardcore trekkies, but for the average movie-goer, it won’t generate much excitement.
I hate to say it, but I’m to the point I want to see something more. Be a little creative with the technology, don’t just copy cat what everyone else has done. Make it into a game, or have something hidden you have to uncover to get me to be interested. Or make it markerless and navigable with my keyboard around the room so I can fire my photons at the dog. Now that would be cool.
